What is your name and position with Williams Web Solutions?

Please tell us the year established and brief history of Williams Web Solutions?
Williams Web Solutions began in 2007. I worked for a software development company and was downsized; however, the owners presented an offer that I could continue offering IT support, hosting, and website development under my own business and to take over those customers I was previously doing work for. So with $100 cash and 2 Wal-Mart gift cards, Williams Web Solutions began January 8, 2007.
Since then we serve clients from many various industries hosted on our servers—website and email—from all over the country with our heaviest concentration of clients in Texas.
 
What do you offer your customers that are unique to your company?
Williams Web Solutions offers a personal hosting experience. In other words we know each customer, how they came onto our servers, how to host them, and how to support their needs keeping time zones, business demands, etc. in mind.
 
What is the most challenging aspect to offering Web Hosting?
The need for more customers. When large hosting companies with deep pockets for advertising offer services that are priced considerably less than us, then it is difficult to compete—price wise—but our uptime and support is why those who do sign up with Williams Web Solutions are lifetime customers.
 
What is it that makes Williams Web Solutions a competitive company in the Web Hosting market?
Quality of service. Most of our clients are from websites we’ve developed, so we have an advantage to provide a beautiful website that is hosted in house. Another is our business is hosted on the same servers, so uptime is just as important to us as it is to our customers.
 
What new features have Williams Web Solutions added for its customers in the past year?
Originally Williams Web Solutions had a single website which made it a difficult proposition to both understand what Williams Web Solutions offered and how and where to get support along with detailed information about their specific service. Williams Web Solutions streamlined the process by offering service specific websites to help direct the customer to obtain the information they need from websites and FAQs tailored for that service.

Although not a feature, once a year or once every other year we migrate/upgrade our servers from older equipment to newer equipment while continuing to support our growing client base. Our shared servers—web and email—were both completed this past year.
 
What would you say is Williams Web Solutions #1 asset to its customer base?
I would say availability. We pride ourselves to support our customer needs with prompt service by truly understanding their time zone, their customer demands in mind. In short, if they cannot work due to a problem or an outage, they are not making money. If they are not making money, then we are making money. In other words our success is because our customers succeed to do their business.
Second I would say knowledge. Because of our over a decade of hosting experience with solid platforms, we know what it takes to host a website or provide email service. If we do not know the answer, we will admit it to our customer but research the answer for our customer. We value our customers’ confidence for Williams Web Solutions to provide their needed service.
 
Where do you see Williams Web Solutions and the web hosting industry in three years?
Williams Web Solutions has continued to be a recognized business for providing quality hosting solutions. As such, our customer base will continue to grow along with our infrastructure and hosting offerings to support new customer needs and new technology. We will continue to upgrade or transition our hosting offers to newer technology to make sure our customers continue to get the best quality of hosting for a fair price.
 
How many customers do you currently have?
We currently host 71 businesses for shared website and email hosting. We have 1 VPS customer and 3 dedicated server customers. Our customer demographics include manufacturing, credit unions, accountants, law firms, oil and gas service companies, medical, etc. and we support customers from New York, Florida, New Jersey, Indiana, Illinois, Texas, and other states as well.
Although our present numbers may not be huge, these are quality customers who require quality support, consistent uptime, and the right need for their business.
We are always welcoming new customers any time to support their business needs. We truly do host the world…personally.
 
Who are some of your famous clients?
Although we may not currently host customers that others can easily recognize, all of our customers are “famous” because they are all important to Williams Web Solutions which include credit unions, attorneys, oil and gas service companies, government and non-profit agencies, manufacturing, medical offices, and many other agencies.
 
Do you own your own datacenter?
We lease space/servers from Caro.net (primary) and GoDaddy (secondary).
 
Where are they located?
Our primary data center is located in Charlotte, North Carolina with our secondary data center is located in Scottsdale, Arizona.
 
What kind of backup power do you have?
Our main data center uses Duke Energy with two modes/legs of power coming into the facility with two backup generators.
 
Do you have multiple backbone connections?
Along with having multiple backbone connections into our datacenter, our MLX provides redundant service to allow alternate paths for data traffic in the event of a failure.
 
Do you offer 24/7 support?
Yes
 
Do you have technicians present 24/7 or 9-5 M-F?
We have technicians available 24/7; however, not all issues may be resolved immediately depending on the issue.
 
What is your average turn-around time on a support ticket?
Support is available 24/7; however, certain matters due to either down time or investigation may take longer than a resolution made during the time of a phone conversation. That being said, support issues are always resolved same-day and often within an hour or less from the time the request was made.
 
Do you charge your clients for support? If so, please explain.
Included with the price of hosting is support whether by phone, chat, email, or text.
 
Do you offer a money back guarantee?
Williams Web Solutions offers quality hosting solutions meeting the real needs of businesses. If a customer has pre-paid for service that was not used and they met the cancellation terms stated in our Terms of Use, then we will happily refund their payment in the form of a cashier’s check unless they paid via credit card.
